Diffidence in the 21st Century.

I'm feeling a little guilty, a number of people have been kind enough to compliment my pics but I'm not so hot on replying. Truth is, I watch the frenzied antpile of social interaction represented by Facebook, MySpace and indeed, deviantART, with more than a little bemusement. I had a Facebook account for a few days. It scared me so I closed it down.

I am the man who, at a party or down the pub, sits quietly in a corner and watches the world go by without feeling any particular need to chase it. Actually, that's bollocks. I'm the bloke who, social obligations fulfilled, flees at the earliest opportunity.

So call it reserve, social ineptitude or whatever, I'm not that great at communicating. Sorry.

PS Does anyone know a good synonym for "social"?
